In 1998, while using the early internet and browsing Yahoo, I saw something that stayed in my mind forever. People were already buying flowers, books, and products online across borders.

And I remember thinking:
“If products can move globally through the internet, why can’t manufacturing work the same way?”
I did not know it then, but that small moment would stay with me for decades. That was the beginning of a dream. At the time, I was working in IT and earning well. But life moved differently. Family responsibilities came first. Years passed. And while the dream stayed alive quietly in my mind, our family continued running our apparel manufacturing business. But something else was happening during those years. We were not only producing garments.
“We were collecting something far more valuable”
Experience.
Not theory.
Real production.
Real sample development.
Real pattern making.
Real sourcing.
Real shipment pressure.
Real buyer communication.
Real execution problems.
Real responsibility.
And over time I began noticing something:
The biggest challenge in global manufacturing was not production itself.
It was trust.
Because sourcing rarely breaks at the beginning.
It usually breaks later.
During execution.
During compressed timelines.
During fit corrections.
During shipment preparation.
During communication gaps.
During real operational pressure.
Then something happened that changed everything.
One of our long-term buyers from Minnesota, Mr. Shannon Bertram, kept encouraging me to think bigger.
I told him that building a global B2B manufacturing platform had actually been my dream since 1998.
But at that time it still felt financially impossible.
Like one of those ideas you carry for years but never expect to build.
But he kept encouraging me.
Not as an investor.
Not as a corporation.
Not as a board member.
As someone who genuinely believed the idea should exist.
Then one day he told me:
“What you are building solves a real problem in global sourcing. You should build this bigger.”
I still remember that sentence.
Because sometimes a few words from someone who believes in you can quietly change the direction of an entire future.
That encouragement became one of the turning points behind Alvieva™.

And then something unexpected started happening.
Before Alvieva™ officially launched…
International buyers were already placing real manufacturing orders based purely on trust, relationships, and belief in the vision.
No marketplace infrastructure.
No large platform.
No startup funding.
No institutional system.
Just trust.
Buyers from:
United States
Canada
Australia
Europe
and other international markets.
Recently, I gathered many of the early international payment receipts we received from that period.
Around 40 real production payments.
Mostly from U.S. buyers.
Together they represented more than US$70,000 in manufacturing orders before Alvieva™ formally existed.
Not investment money.
Not fundraising.
Not startup capital.
Real production trust.
And honestly, I still keep those receipts.
Because they remind me of the responsibility that came with that trust.
Many of those buyers did not know our office.
They did not know our infrastructure.
Some barely knew us beyond conversations and relationships.
But they still trusted us with real production.
And many remain connected with us today.
That experience taught us something powerful:
Global sourcing is not only a supplier problem.
It is a trust problem.
Because supplier discovery is only the beginning.
The real test starts later:
During execution.
That realization became the foundation of Alvieva™.
Not as a traditional listing platform.
Not as another supplier directory.
But as a human-verified global B2B manufacturing marketplace focused on structured sourcing, production oversight, execution reliability, and long-term operational involvement.
We stay involved from sample development and pattern making to sourcing, production coordination, shipment preparation, delivery support, and continued relationship management.
Because trust should not disappear after an order is placed.
Recently, Just Style described our mission as:
“Rebuilding trust in apparel sourcing through human verification.”
And honestly, that mission started long before the platform officially launched.
It started with these buyers.
These production orders.
These relationships.
And this trust.
That is the real story behind Alvieva™.
